China Construction Machinery Import & Export Co. Ltd. (CCMIE), one of China’s leading exporters of port machinery, has made its presence felt in the Port of Duisburg, Germany with its Hyster ReachStacker. The Hyster RS45-31CH container handling truck has a lift capacity of 45 tonnes and was officially handed over to Btefhr, a logistics company operating in the port, during a ceremony on August 1, 2016. The machine will primarily be used by Btefhr for handling containers.

“CCMIE has been focusing on the port machinery market since 2011,” said a company spokesperson. “In 2012, we successfully developed the CCMIE brand side loader crane in cooperation with XCMG.”

The port machinery market in China is growing at a rapid pace due to increasing investments in port infrastructure by government entities, as well as private companies. As a result, CCMIE has been taking several steps to expand its operations overseas, especially in the EU market, where it hopes to partner with more logistics and port handling companies.

The Port of Duisburg, Germany is the largest inland port in Europe and one of the busiest ports in the world in terms of cargo traffic. With the addition of the Hyster ReachStacker, Btefhr will be able to handle containers with greater efficiency, reducing downtime and increasing productivity. The Hyster RS45-31CH is equipped with several features that make it ideal for port handling, such as a Hot Spot Reduction system that minimizes heat generated by the engine and hydraulics, a Load Sensing Hydraulic System that optimizes hydraulic pressure according to the load being lifted, and an Econo-Mode feature that reduces fuel consumption when the machine is idling.

“With the Hyster RS45-31CH, Btefhr will be able to handle containers more efficiently, which is crucial in a busy port like Duisburg,” said a Hyster spokesperson. “This machine has been designed to offer maximum performance and durability, while also being easy to maintain.”

Hyster is a global leader in materials handling equipment and has been operating in the European market for several decades. The company has a strong presence in the port handling sector and offers a wide range of container handling machines, ranging from straddle carriers and terminal tractors, to reach stackers and forklift trucks. Its machines are renowned for their durability, performance, and reliability, and are used in ports all over the world.

“Hyster has been providing innovative materials handling solutions for more than 90 years,” said the Hyster spokesperson. “We understand the unique challenges faced by port operators, and our machines are designed to meet their specific requirements.”

The addition of the Hyster ReachStacker to the Btefhr fleet is expected to have a positive impact on the company’s business, as it will be able to handle more containers in a shorter period of time. With the port machinery market in China growing rapidly, it is likely that CCMIE will continue to expand its operations overseas and partner with more logistics and port handling companies in the future. Meanwhile, Hyster will continue to innovate and offer solutions that enable port operators to be more efficient and productive.
